 E-auctions are a tool to ensure fair competition between suppliers and to reduce the costs of the contracting authorities and public service providers for the execusion of the procurement contract and to obtain more favorable tender conditions.

The ability to use electronic auctions for contracting authorities and public service providers in public procurement is provided for in both the Public Procurement Law and the Public Service Providers Procurement Law.
